The role of accounts assistant is to work within the accounts department & assist the Financial Controller in the maintenance, control & management of the companies’ finances.

Duties include:

  • Prepare Vat & Intrastat returns & filing with revenue
  • Keep Trader Support Services up to date
  • Manage Debit notes & ensure we receive credit notes for same
  • Processing receipts from daily cash sales &; manage web sales
  • Cash flow analysis & forecasting
  • Review weekly stock movement & adjustments.
  • Process € bulk payment file fortnightly
  • Manage Aged Creditors & ensure all credit balances are cleared & chase invoices where needed
  • Assist Financial controller with preparation of monthly accounts, some duties include:
    o Nominal Ledger Reconciliations/Overhead analysis
    o Stock reports & posting stock journal’s
    o Preparation of stock distributions, debtor’s distribution, staff figures & inputting on Aaro
    o Intercompany/ Match Report
  • Work as part of the accounts team & support other team member when needed
  • Work on SAP project
  • Work on various ad hoc projects as needed


    IATI qualified or equivalent &experience in a similar role
    MUST have experience with SAP system

    Pension after 2 years’ service
    Salary based on qualification and experience
