We are currently recruiting for an External  Technical Salesperson in the Munster Region.


Since 1977 Demesne Electrical has grown to become Ireland’s leading independent distributor, importer & supplier of industrial electrical components to the Wholesaler and Panel builder Market. We now have an exciting New opportunity to find a strong candidate to join our successful sales team.

Since January 2022 Demesne became part of the OEM group of 37 companies in 14 countries with a turnover of €450M in 2022,

OEM are an automation specialist in the areas of Pressure & Flow, Machine/Vision and Sensing & Machine Safety which we also plan to develop within the territory.

Vacant Position:

We are currently recruiting for an external sales person to manage and grow a well-established customer base in the Munster region. This position offers the successful individual the opportunity to grow within a fast expanding company to further their career.

Primary Job Function:

Service sales in the territory/market area you are responsible for to deliver agreed targets. Explore and develop new sales opportunities for our expanding range.

Key Results Areas (K.R.A.’s):

  1. Annual sales Targets.

Deliver annual agreed sales targets for existing customer base.

  1. Product Knowledge

Become efficient and comfortable with selling our ever-expanding range, and participate in continuous training programs on our products.

  1. New Product Sales

Source potential sales opportunities for our new product ranges in the territory/market area that you are responsible for and follow up on those opportunities to convert as many as possible into actual sales

  1. Additional Sales Roles.      

Carry out additional sales roles as defined by the Regional Sales Manager and pass on any Sales Leads to the relevant branch/market area.

Participate in tradeshows, sales conferences and training days as required

Follow the sales strategy as set out by Demesne and agreed in  advance with you.

Key Skills

Previous Experience with selling Industrial Electrical and/or pressure and flow/Machine safety product range is preferrable

Proven prospecting and market development experience

Good Organisational and Time Management Skills

Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills

CRM & Reporting is an essential part of this role
