Our partners Sifam Tinsley offer a complete range of high quality current transformers offering measurment & protection class accuracies.

What is the use of a current transformer?

Current transformers reduce high primary currents to a much lower value and provide a convenient way of safely monitoring the actual electrical current flowing in an AC circuit using a standard ammeter.

When to use a split core current transformer

A Current Transformer with a split core allows you to easily install the CT around the existing bus or cable conductors, thus eliminating the need to disconnect, move, and reconnect the bus or cable, Used in retrofit applications
